Job summary

Mercy Hospital Washington is seeking an experienced RN for the Emergency Department on a part-time schedule (12 hours/week, 1:00pm–1:30am). The ED features a 26-bed unit serving our community around the clock with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4 and support from patient care techs, paramedics, and patient support staff.

Candidates must hold a current RN license (or compact), ACLS and BLS certification (or within 30 days), and be capable of lifting 50 lbs regularly.

Qualifications

• Current RN license (or compact license).
• ACLS and BLS certifications (or within 30 days).
• Unit-specific certifications as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care.
• Maintains professional accountability for care provided to assigned patients.
• Evaluates effectiveness of care by other direct care givers.
• Coordinates patient care with other departments.
• Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of information.
