Job summary

OhioHealth in Columbus, OH seeks an experienced Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department to provide general nursing care across the continuum in a fast-paced, high-demand setting. The RN is accountable to the Ohio Board of Nursing and delegates tasks to LPNs and UAPs per established policies.

Responsibilities include assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care within a 24/7 environment.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse license in Ohio (or multi-state compact)
• BLS certification
• BSN required at 5 years of employment

Responsibilities

• Assessment/Diagnosis - Performs initial, ongoing, and functional health status assessment as applicable to the population and individual.
• Outcomes Identification/Planning - Documents planned nursing interventions based on diagnoses and collaborative problems to achieve outcomes.
• Implementation/Evaluation - Evaluates and documents response to nursing interventions and revises care plan as needed.
• Leadership - Participates in process improvement to enhance clinical quality and safety.
• Operations - Performs duties within the department to support 24/7/365 operations.
