Job summary

Virginia Mason Franciscan Health's St. Michael Medical Center Emergency Department seeks a Registered Nurse to deliver compassionate, evidence-based care in a fast-paced setting.

The RN will perform rigorous assessments, implement patient care plans, and collaborate with ED staff to ensure timely, high‑quality outcomes for diverse patients in a Level III Trauma Center with helicopter transfer capability.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing; WA RN license upon hire.
• New graduate or RN without ED/Critical Care experience with ED Residency program.
• BLS (CPR) required upon hire.
• ACLS within 60 days of hire.
• PALS within 12 months of hire.
• ENPC within 12 months of hire.
• TNCC within 12 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized, comprehensive nursing care and perform critical assessments.
• Administer medications and document care per physician orders.
• Collaborate with ED team to ensure rapid assessment and treatment.
• Prepare patients for discharge and coordinate post-discharge needs.
• Support patient safety, compliance with regulations, and care quality.
