Job summary

Frederick Health is seeking an experienced registered nurse for a high-volume Emergency Department role. The RN will provide comprehensive patient care using the nursing process, perform leadership duties, and participate in quality improvement activities within a Magnet-recognized hospital.

Ideal candidates hold an ADN (BSN preferred), Maryland RN license, and certifications (CPR/BLS; ACLS, PALS as applicable). The schedule is full-time with weekend rotation in a dynamic 60-bed ED.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Nursing required.
• Bachelors of Science in Nursing preferred or willing to obtain within 5 years of employment.
• CPR certification required; BLS within 90 days of hire; ACLS, PALS, and other unit-specific certifications may be required within 1 year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care using the nursing process and leadership duties.
• Assist in discharge planning and family teaching.
• Document nursing interventions and patient responses.
• Communicate effectively with the health care team and patient/family.
• Float to other units as needed to meet patient care demands.
