Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing is required.
• RN license issued by the state of Connecticut is required.
• AHA Healthcare Provider CPR certification or equivalent; must obtain within 3 months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Plan, implement, evaluate, and communicate all phases of nursing care for ED patients.
• Assess health status via history and physical examination.
• Initiate therapeutic and diagnostic procedures and adjust care per protocols.
• Educate patients on health promotion and disease management.
• Document findings and care plans in medical records.
• Consult with physicians per hospital policy.
• Ensure a safe environment and evaluate intervention effectiveness.
