Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• CT Registered Nurse license required.
• American Heart Association CPR certification required; obtain within 3 months.

Responsibilities

• Plan, implement, evaluate and communicate all phases of nursing care in our Emergency Department.
• Assess health status of patients and families via health history and physical examination.
• Initiate therapeutic and diagnostic procedures; interpret findings per protocols.
• Educate and counsel on health promotion and disease management.
• Document findings and plan of care in the medical record.
• Consult with physician per hospital policy.
• Ensure safety and evaluate effectiveness of interventions.
