Job summary

Mercy Health's Defiance Hospital is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department. The role involves assessing patient status, prioritizing needs, and implementing care plans in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited Associate degree or Bachelors degree in Nursing.
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• ACLS/PALS/BLS certifications as required within 6 months of hire (ACLS and PALS required).

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team.
• Care for groups of patients in a fast-paced, high-intensity setting.
• Evaluate, update and revise the plan of care to meet outcomes.
• Serve as point of contact for patients' care coordination across departments.
• Provide care to a broad spectrum of patients from short-stay to trauma.
• Administer medications safely and per policy.
• Other duties as assigned.
