Qualifications

• Graduate from a school of nursing (ADN, Diploma, or BSN).
• RN license in the hiring state or compact licensure is required and must meet state board requirements.
• BLS certification required; ACLS/NRP/ENPC/TNCC/CPHON/OCN/PALS/PEARS/C-EFM or other unit-specific certifications may be required.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care.
• Maintains professional accountability for patient care for assigned patients.
• Evaluates overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers.
• Coordinates patient care with other departments.
• Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of information.
• Performs duties in alignment with Mercy mission, values, and Service Standards.
