Job summary

UMass Memorial Health seeks an Emergency Department Registered Nurse for a 32-hour day-shift role in Worcester, MA. Responsibilities include applying the nursing process across the patient care continuum, performing assessments, and coordinating discharge planning with a focus on quality and safety.

Qualified candidates must hold MA nursing licensure and BLS; ACLS as required by unit. A $5,000 signing bonus may be available for external hires during the interview process.

Qualifications

• Current Massachusetts nursing licensure and registration.
• BLS required for every RN; ACLS if current or required by unit.
• BSN preferred (not required).

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the Nursing Process for patient care from admission to discharge.
• Performs patient assessment and reassessment per procedure.
• Develops and coordinates each patient’s plan of care, including discharge planning.
• Directs, supervises, coordinates and evaluates nursing care.
• Documents patient care per procedure.
• Supports education for patient/family and ensures quality of care through collaboration.
