Job summary

Rutherford Regional Health System is seeking an Emergency Department RN to join a rural 20-bed unit serving Rutherford County. You will perform assessments, initiate nursing interventions, and provide age-appropriate care in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Eligible for a commitment bonus of $20,000 for experienced RNs or $10,000 for new grads; schedule includes 3x12-hr day shifts per week with rotating weekends and self-scheduling options.

Qualifications

• Current North Carolina State License or Compact License with North Carolina endorsement.
• BLS certification required within 30 days of hire
• ACLS certification required within 90 days of hire
• One year of RN experience in Emergency Department

Responsibilities

• Performs accurate and thorough patient assessments and identifies patient needs
• Initiates appropriate nursing interventions based on assessment findings
• Provides age- and condition-appropriate nursing care
• Completes timely and accurate documentation supporting medical necessity in the medical record
• Develops, implements, and revises interdisciplinary care plans for each patient

Education

Associate's degree in nursing

Bachelor's degree preferred
