Job summary

Harris Regional Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Emergency Department. This full-time night shift (3x12s, 7p-7a) includes a $10,000 sign-on bonus for new grads and $20,000 for eligible night shift RNs with a 2-year commitment.

Join a 14-bed ED with a 5:1 patient ratio, a diverse team, and exposure to a wide range of emergencies. The role emphasizes accurate assessments, timely interventions, and meticulous documentation in a fast-paced, supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Active North Carolina or compact state RN license required.
• Associate's degree required; BSN preferred.
• AHA Basic Life Support certification required within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS and PALS required within six months of hire.
• One year of experience preferred.
• Must have critical thinking, decisive judgment and ability to work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Accurately performs patient assessments and identifies patient needs
• Identifies and initiates appropriate nursing interventions
• Provides care appropriate to condition and age of the patient
• Performs timely and appropriate documentation relating to medical necessity in the medical record
• Responsible for completion and revision of the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient
• Performs timely and accurate QI assessments
