Rutherford Regional Health System is seeking an experienced Emergency Department RN to join a rural 20-bed unit serving Rutherford County and surrounding communities. The ED focuses on timely assessment, stabilization, and transition of care with a fast-paced, team-oriented culture.

The role requires an NC license, BLS, ACLS within specified timelines, and an ADN with a BSN preferred. The department emphasizes work-life balance with self-scheduling and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• One year of RN experience in Emergency Department required.
• Current North Carolina or compact state RN license required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Performs accurate and thorough patient assessments and identifies patient needs.
• Initiates appropriate nursing interventions based on assessment findings.
• Provides age- and condition-appropriate nursing care.
• Completes timely and accurate documentation supporting medical necessity in the medical record.
• Develops, implements, and revises interdisciplinary care plans for each patient.
