Job summary

Piedmont Eastside Medical Center is seeking a dedicated RN for the Emergency Department. The role involves 3 shifts of 12 hours each week (11 am–11 pm) in a 38-bed ED that handles diverse acuity and stroke/thrombolysis cases. A sign-on bonus of up to $10,000 is available.

Candidates must have a Georgia RN license and BLS; leadership and teamwork are essential to coordinate care across ED staff and physicians, ensuring exceptional patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• RN license in Georgia (required).
• BLS certification required.
• Graduate from an accredited nursing program.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• New graduates eligible for PRN positions.

Responsibilities

• Performs patient assessments and collects data on physical, psychosocial, and health history.
• Evaluates developmental age for patient care planning and education.
• Forms a care plan and identifies information needed for outcomes.
• Carries out the care plan to achieve outcomes.
• Delivers patient care appropriate to diagnosis and severity.
• Oversees activities of ancillary staff and coordination of care.
• Identifies teaching opportunities and provides patient education resources.
• Escalates issues to Charge Nurse/Clinical Manager/physician as needed.
• Documents patient care and concerns in the chart.
