Penn Medicine in Lancaster, PA is seeking an ED Registration Clerk to ensure accurate patient identification, arrival, and registration in the Emergency Department. This role handles insurance verification, visits, and demographic data with EMS, walk-ins, or transfers, coordinating with the care team to support timely patient flow.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma and at least one year of clerical or customer service experience, with familiarity in office software and basic EMR

Formación

• Requires high school diploma or GED.
• At least 1 year of clerical, customer service, or admin support experience.
• Proficiency with basic keyboarding and office equipment.
• Experience with Epic EMR or similar systems preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Register patients accurately including demographics, insurance, and accounts.
• Verify insurance and collect patient information and signatures.
• Manage patient flow and visitor management in the ED reception area.
• Coordinate with ED team to ensure timely patient processing and rooming.
• Handle front desk communications and transfer calls as needed.
• Assist with waiting room management and patient comfort.
• Support billing and collections as appropriate.
