Job summary

Qualifications

• Associate degree in healthcare administration, medical office administration, or related field.
• 4 years related experience in lieu of associate's degree.
• 1 year experience in a healthcare setting, particularly in patient registration, insurance verification, or a similar administrative role.

Responsibilities

• Obtain and enter required information for registration into the electronic health system.
• Verify demographic and insurance information for completeness and correct deficiencies.
• Ensure EMTALA compliant registration steps.
• Identify patients with critical symptoms and activate clinical protocols.
• Obtain all regulatory signatures.
• Document insurance verification details and calculate patient liability for payment.
• Provide excellent customer service to patients and visitors to promote positive experiences.
• Assist patients to their destination and manage visitor flow.
