Qualifications

• High School/GED or equivalent as required education.
• Experience operating a PC and using software applications.
• One year of related experience preferred, especially in medical, financial services, or customer service environments.

Responsibilities

• Conducts scheduling, registration, and admitting functions at bedside, verifies insurance data, and processes demographic information for timely bill submission.
• Identifies patient financial responsibilities, calculates estimates, collects liabilities, and posts payments in the ADT system.
• Delivers positive patient experience and maintains productive relationships with patients and healthcare staff while adhering to AHN policies.
• Maintains patient confidentiality, ensures accurate registration during system downtime, and serves as a central resource during evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Responds calmly and professionally to inquiries from patients, visitors, and staff under all circumstances.
• Completes mandatory training and supports compliance with AHN policies and HIPAA requirements.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
