Job summary

Baptist Health Care in Pensacola, FL is seeking a Manager - Patient Access Emergency Department to lead registration and outpatient access across Gulf Breeze Hospital and surrounding Baptist Medical Parks.

You will hire, coach and develop staff, optimize scheduling and timekeeping, supervise patient access services, monitor reports, and ensure regulatory and financial goals are met while delivering excellent patient care.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a health-related field or equivalent.
4–6 years healthcare revenue cycle experience.
2 years supervisory or leadership experience.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Experience with patient access and registration processes.
Ability to manage staffing, onboarding and coaching.
Understanding of regulatory requirements and AHCA background checks.

Responsibilities

Evaluates employee performance and recommends hiring, promotions, demotions, transfers, and disciplinary actions.
Manages time cards and scheduling of work hours.
Reconciles patient access reports and submits to Executive Director.
Supervises patient access services and ensures regulatory compliance.
Oversees staffing, onboarding, training, and coaching of staff.
Communicates departmental and organizational information to staff.
Oversees operations and fiscal management of the department.
