UMass Memorial Health in Worcester, MA seeks an ED Observation Assistant to staff the 7a-3p day shift in the Emergency Department. You will provide constant observation for high-risk patients, assist with safety checks, help with personal belongings, and support nursing staff under RN direction.

This role is on-site and part-time, with standards of care and safety training expected. Qualified applicants have a high school diploma, current BLS/Heart Saver, and de-escalation training; strong

Formación

• High School Graduate or equivalent.
• Must complete de-escalation training.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) or Heart Saver certification.

Responsabilidades

• Provides constant observation of high-risk patients as assigned by the RN.
• Monitors patient safety checks and required intervals.
• Assists patients with undressing, securing belongings, and de-escalation as needed.
• Escorts patients and assists with meals, personal needs and safety precautions.
• Documents behaviors and safety checks in the patient chart and communicates with the RN.
