Job summary

OU Health in Edmond ED is seeking an Emergency Services Manager to lead daily operations, uphold nursing practice standards, and model the OU Health Way in patient care, staff interactions, and safety culture.

The position drives quality initiatives, manages the department budget, and collaborates with physicians and executive leadership to ensure safe, efficient, and compassionate care delivery across shifts.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required.
Master's in Nursing preferred.
3 to 5 years of demonstrated leadership experience required (Charge Nurse, Educator or other leadership development preparation).
Current RN license with Oklahoma residency within 6 months.
BLS certification required upon hire.

Responsibilities

Accountable for clinical care and departmental performance and metrics.
Supports strategic initiatives through quality initiatives in patient care delivery that promote safety and mitigate bias.
Develops and updates performance improvement tools, productivity reports, fiscal status and quality statistics.
Resolves patient complaints in a timely manner in accordance with policy and with staff support.
Establishes and implements policies and procedures; ensures regulatory compliance.
Manages department budget and resources; understands organizational financial processes.
