Job summary

OU Health seeks an AVP of Nursing for Emergency Services to lead nursing operations and drive performance across multidisciplinary teams. The role ensures adherence to nursing standards and ethics while fostering a patient-first culture within the organization.

The AVP will oversee budgeting, strategic initiatives, and accountability for outcomes, partnering with governance groups and senior leaders to meet system-wide metrics and deliver high-quality care.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Nursing required.
• Master's in Nursing, Business, Healthcare Administration or relevant field of study required.
• Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develops and operationalizes strategic initiatives in patient care delivery across the health system.
• Leads and supports initiatives that promote civility and identify bias in care delivery.
• Implements data-driven approaches to transformative change with enterprise-wide metrics.
• Upholds professional accountability to ensure high-quality, cost-effective outcomes.
• Manages the department budget and supports annual planning and prioritization.
• Drives change management and effective communication across staff levels.
• Represents OU Health nursing to senior leadership and governing bodies.
• Aligns behaviors with OU Health values and fosters an inclusive workforce.
• Directs coaching, feedback, training and recognition to develop staff capability.
