Job summary

Stony Brook University Hospital is seeking a Nursing Assistant II for the Emergency Department night shift on a part-time basis. Under RN supervision, you will assist with basic patient care and help ensure a safe, respectful environment for patients and families.

Qualified candidates will have strong communication and interpersonal skills, a year of patient care experience, and NYS CNA certification or training.

Qualifications

• One year of satisfactory full-time patient care experience.
• NYS Certified Nursing Assistant license or CNA training program certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Change simple dressings and perform basic treatments as directed.
• Take vital signs including temperature, pulse, BP, and respiration.
• Attend to daily living activities and personal care for patients.
• Maintain patient rights, dignity, and confidentiality.
• Assist with housekeeping duties to maintain a clean clinical area.
