Job summary

Maine Medical Center in Portland, ME seeks a Clinical Nurse I for the Emergency Department. This entry-level RN role is open to candidates with 0–1 year of experience and includes automatic enrollment in our Nurse Residency Program starting February 1, 2027.

Six months of didactic and clinical training will develop your emergency skills. You will work nights, 3 shifts (12 hours) with a standard schedule of 36 hours and every other weekend, in a Level I Trauma Center renowned for stroke and

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing (BSN preferred).
• Current Maine RN license or eligibility.
• New graduates eligible; entry-level with residency program.
• Ability to work all shifts and nights during orientation.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care in the Emergency Department.
• Assess, diagnose, plan, implement and evaluate patient care.
• Participate in the Nurse Residency Program for new grads.
