Job summary

Central Maine Medical Center is hiring experienced Emergency Department Registered Nurses for full-time 12-hour evening shifts in a fast-paced acute care setting. Eligible candidates receive a generous sign-on bonus and a streamlined hiring process.

Qualified RNs must hold an active state license, current BLS/ACLS/PALS or ENPC, and have 2+ years in acute care. BSN and CEN are preferred. Telemetry experience and EMTALA knowledge are valued as part of patient care leadership.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN license.
• Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• Current ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
• Current PALS certificate and/or ENPC 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
• Basic Arrhythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire.
• Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) preferred.
• BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe patient care using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation; provide direct patient care within the scope of practice.
• Direct and guide patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining professional nursing standards in Telemetry.
• Communicate with the physician about changes in the patient’s condition and results of diagnostics, responding quickly to changes in status.
