Job summary

Cape Fear Valley Medical Center in Fayetteville, NC is seeking an ED Nursing Manager to coordinate staffing and resources in the Emergency Department, ensuring safe, cost-effective, high-quality care and patient satisfaction.

The role requires an Associate’s degree in Nursing, NC RN licensure, and 5+ years of nursing experience with emergency experience. A BSN is preferred; relocation assistance is available.

Qualifications

• Requires active RN licensure in North Carolina.
• Associate degree in Nursing is required; a BSN is preferred.
• Strong leadership and staff development skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate staff and resources across ED to promote safe, cost-efficient care.
• Address patient/family complaints in real time to ensure satisfaction.
• Oversee staff competency, development, and performance evaluations.
• Collaborate with ED leadership to align communications and operations.
• Monitor cleanliness, supplies, and equipment usage with accountability.
• Ensure compliance with accreditation standards (JCAHO, OSHA).
• Address disciplinary issues and document actions per guidelines.
• Participate in policy development and evaluation for ED.
