Job summary

Cape Fear Valley Medical Center in Fayetteville, NC seeks an experienced RN leader for the Emergency Department Night Shift. The role focuses on coordinating patient flow, supervising nursing staff, and ensuring high-quality care under HIP guidelines.

Responsibilities include rounds with physicians, staffing oversight, education of staff, and collaboration with Care Coordinator to expedite admissions and discharges. RN licensure in NC and 3 years of related clinical experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in nursing required.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Completes daily patient assignments.
• Rounds with the physicians.
• Serve as resource to staff nurses, nursing assistants, monitors techs and unit secretaries.
• Assists with procedures, checks orders.
• Responsible for daily QC and equipment checks on unit.
• Evaluates daily patient acuity.
• Focuses on patient flow and expediting patient flow.
• Oversees quality of patient care.
• Assists with clinical education in absence of Clinical Educator/Preceptor.
• Interfaces with Care Coordinator and discharge planning.
