Job summary

Cape Fear Valley Health seeks a Manager of Emergency Department to coordinate staff and resources in our Fayetteville ED. You will promote safe, cost-efficient, high-quality care and patient satisfaction while overseeing competency, development and evaluations of assigned staff.

Required qualifications include an Associate’s degree in Nursing, NC RN license, and 5 years of nursing with 3 in emergency nursing; a Bachelor’s in Nursing is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing is preferred but an Associate's with extensive ED leadership experience may be considered.
• Current RN licensure in North Carolina is required.
• Minimum 5 years of nursing experience with at least 3 years in emergency nursing and leadership responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate staff and material resources across Emergency Department to ensure safe, efficient care.
• Lead rounds, address patient/family concerns, and promote quality patient experience.
• Oversee staff development, disciplinary actions, and performance evaluations in alignment with facility policies.
• Collaborate with ED leadership to standardize communications and operations across the department.
• Ensure compliance with accreditation and regulatory standards and monitor supply and equipment adequacy.
