Job summary

Desert Regional Medical Center in Palm Springs, CA is seeking a Clinical Manager to lead the Emergency Department's day-to-day shift operations. You will manage human resources at the unit level, investigate complaints, and provide direction during crises while aligning with organizational goals.

The role requires California RN licensure and BSN, with at least 3 years of clinical leadership experience, BLS/ACLS/PALS, and the ability to influence staff through policy, education, and performance

Qualifications

• Current California RN license.
• BSN required.
• Minimum of 3 years’ clinical leadership experience.
• ACLS/BLS/PALS certifications (maintain current).
• Must complete EKG test within 30 days of hire.
• MICN within 6 months of hire; TNCC within 6 months of hire; CPI within 3 months.
• NIHSS within 30 days of entry.

Responsibilities

• Obtain information and interpret it in terms of patient needs.
• Participate in human resources management including hiring and staff development.
• Ensure performance evaluations are completed on time.
• Counsel and discipline staff as needed.
• Coordinate staff orientation and continuing education.
• Promote staffing efficiency and cost controls.
• Serve as Trauma Team member and assist in department goals.
• Foster communication and collaboration across hospital departments.
