Job summary

Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital–Milton, part of Beth Israel Lahey Health, seeks an experienced Emergency Department nurse to deliver patient- and family-centered care in a fast-paced ED. You will work within the RN framework, using the Nursing Process and ENA standards to guide assessment, planning, and intervention while building strong clinical partnerships with physicians and care teams.

This role emphasizes autonomy, compassionate care, cultural sensitivity, and safe, timely patient outcomes

Qualifications

• 1 Year of acute care medical-surgical experience (or equivalent).
• BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications required or within hire/within 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct, patient-centered care using the Nursing Process.
• Assesses health status and interprets data to guide care.
• Plans, coordinates nursing interventions and evaluates outcomes.
• Communicates care plans and handoffs effectively across shifts.
• Maintains infection control and participates in ongoing education.
• Collaborates with physicians, PAs, technicians and teams.
