Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health’s Emergency Department in Milton seeks skilled registered nurses to deliver direct, patient-centered care in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

You will work with physicians, PAs, technicians, and specialty teams to provide both clinical and emotional support to patients and families, across diverse conditions, using ENA standards and full scope of license.

Qualifications

• 1 Year of acute care medical-surgical experience (or equivalent) required, Emergency nursing experience preferred
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support, certification required
• American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support; certification required
• American Heart Association Pediatric Advanced Life Support; certification preferred, required within twelve months of hire.
• Must be able to pass basic medication test prior to hire
• Must be able to pass basic tele test by end of orientation.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process to provide patient centered care
• Systematically assesses the health status of the patient
• Analyzes and interprets data and makes nursing judgments regarding care
• Plans, implements and coordinates nursing interventions
• Evaluates outcome of nursing interventions
• Revises/updates plan of care
• Documents nursing process clearly and concisely
• Communicates nursing plan effectively
• Coordinates the care of patients and directs assistive personnel in order to provide safe, effective, equitable and timely patient centered care.
