Qualifications

• Professional nursing knowledge and practice
• Current NYS Registered Nurse license
• BLS certification (American Heart Association)

Responsibilities

• Collects patient health data with patient and family participation
• Performs initial assessments and documents findings
• Plans and implements patient care according to physician orders
• Ensures patient safety and comfort; teaches patient and family
• Collaborates with health team and participates in orientation of new staff
• Documents care plans and evaluates patient progress
