Job summary

Intermountain Health Lutheran Hospital in Wheat Ridge, CO seeks an experienced Emergency Department Float Pool RN for 36 hours per week. You will float to ED and other acute care areas, providing safe, rapid assessments and high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires a BSN (or enrollment to obtain within four years), BLS certification, and at least 1 year of RN experience. Competitive hourly pay and comprehensive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• RN license in the state of practice (compact license transfer within 60 days)
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience
• BLS Certification for Healthcare Providers
• BSN is Required. Degree will be verified.
• RNs with <12 months must obtain BSN within 4 years of hire

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, compassionate, evidence-based nursing care in fast-paced emergency care environments.
• Perform rapid patient assessments, prioritize care, and initiate appropriate interventions.
• Recognize and respond quickly to changes in patient condition.
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, technicians, and interdisciplinary teams.
• Provide care to patients with a wide range of illnesses, injuries, and emergency conditions.
• Administer medications, treatments, and procedures per policies and standards.
• Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and timely.
• Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, discharge instructions, and follow-up care.
• Adapt to varying workflows, patient volumes, and acuity levels while maintaining quality and safety.
• Support a culture of teamwork and continuous improvement.
