Job summary

UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, TX, seeks an ED Pharmacist to provide real-time pharmacotherapy expertise in a fast-paced, high-acuity ED setting. The role partners with emergency medicine to ensure safe medication use, supports rapid response and codes, and contributes to ongoing departmental initiatives focusing on ED care.

The position involves bedside support, medication reconciliation, therapeutic interventions, and precepting pharmacy learners in the ED.

Qualifications

• ASHP-accredited residency (PGY1/PGY2) required.
• PharmD or BS in Pharmacy from ACPE-accredited program.
• ACPE-accredited school of pharmacy required.

Responsibilities

• Provide real-time pharmacotherapy expertise in the ED.
• Support bedside care, medication reconciliation, and therapeutic interventions.
• Mentor learners and participate in education within the ED.
• Lead cost-savings initiatives and participate in formulary management.
• Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and quality standards.
