Job summary

San Antonio Regional Hospital is seeking an Emergency Department Technician to provide direct patient care under the supervision of ED leadership. The role includes supporting nurses, performing designated interventions, and ensuring readiness of equipment and supplies in a fast-paced ED setting.

Responsibilities also include stocking, QA testing, and verifying operation of monitoring and POC devices, with emphasis on communication and teamwork in a busy hospital environment.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience: ED/urgent care or acute care experience preferred. EMT/CNA/ED tech experience preferred.
• Knowledge: English communication; ability to multi-task in fast-paced environment; basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care within scope of practice as an ED tech.
• Assist with departmental readiness including stocking and QA testing.
• Verify operational patient care equipment (Suction, O2, etc.).
