Job summary

The Emergency Department Tech assists providers and nurses in delivering efficient, high-quality care in a fast-paced hospital setting. This role performs clinical support and patient care activities while ensuring patient comfort, safety, and timely flow through the emergency department.

Part-time position with shifts that may include nights, weekends, holidays and rotating duties. Requires CNA/EMT/MA certifications and ability to work well with a diverse team while maintaining HIPAA and safety

Responsibilities

• Assist nurses and providers with patient care procedures and treatments.
• Take and record vital signs, height, weight, intake and output.
• Notify nurses of changes in patient’s condition in a timely manner.
• Perform EKGs, specimen collection, and point-of-care testing as assigned.
• Assist with patient transport, transfers, and discharge processes.
• Greets and interviews patients and initiates the patient record.
