Job summary

MyMichigan Health seeks an Emergency Department Technician to provide patient-centered care in a fast-paced ED. You will work with nurses and physicians, perform duties across patient care, data collection, and equipment handling, and participate in safety and quality initiatives.

The role requires BLS and state-recognized PCT certification, and ongoing education to meet ED policies and procedures. Applicants must be able to manage multiple tasks in a high-stress environment and support the care

Qualifications

• Must complete NIMS 100 and 700 within 6 months of hire or transfer.
• Organizational skills needed to prioritize workload.
• Interpersonal skills needed to communicate successfully with individuals and groups.
• Knowledge, ability, and competence in treating patients aged prenate to 100+ years.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care including minor treatments, transfers, and responding to call lights.
• Collaborate with RN and ED team to follow physician plan of care.
• Report treatment outcomes to RN and help update care plans.
• Maintain infection control, safety, and documentation per policies.
