Responsibilities

• Provides direct and indirect patient care supporting nursing and physician staff.
• Inventories and restocks emergency department equipment.
• Collects and transports specimens.
• Assists with admissions and discharges; initiates and discontinues IV lines; cleans and prepares examination rooms.
• Places patients on monitors; provides wound care and supports ER procedures.
• Reports and records observations in the patient medical record.
