Job summary

Corewell Health seeks an ED team member to provide essential bedside care under RN supervision. You will assist with activities of daily living, monitor vital signs and support patient comfort while maintaining safety and charting in the medical record.

You will perform delegated tasks, participate in discharge planning, and uphold professional conduct as part of a collaborative emergency department team at Wayne Hospital.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum six months of inpatient caregiver experience, paramedic, EMT, urgent care caregiver experience or Nursing Student (preferred completion of a Medical Surgical rotation).
• CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA American Heart Association.
• CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - ARC American Red Cross.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine bedside nursing activities including ambulating and turning patients.
• Performs higher level care tasks under RN supervision and established policies.
• Reinforces patient teaching and aftercare planning.
