Job summary

Corewell Health is seeking an Emergency Department team member to provide essential patient care under RN supervision. The role involves routine bedside tasks, patient transport, and accurate documentation to support timely care delivery.

The position emphasizes patient teaching, sterile technique, and collaboration with health care team members to ensure respectful, high-quality care for patients and families.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 6 months of relevant experience as nursing assistant or inpatient caregiver, paramedic, EMT, urgent care, or nursing student.
• CRT-BLS - AHA American Heart Association
• CRT-BLS - ARC American Red Cross
• Preferred: EMT license or Nursing Assistant certification in Michigan.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine bedside nursing tasks and assists with patient mobility and bed care.
• Performs higher level care tasks as delegated by RN, including saline locks and basic wound care.
• Reinforces patient teaching and aftercare instructions.
• Documents patient information accurately in the medical record and assists with discharge.
• Operates sterile techniques and supports family-centered care in communication.
