Job summary

Corewell Health is seeking an Emergency Department team member to provide high-quality patient care under the supervision of an RN. The role involves performing delegated care tasks, taking vital signs, assisting with catheterizations, wound care, and documentation in the medical record.

Ideal candidates will have a High School Diploma, at least 6 months of inpatient caregiver experience, and both AHA and ARC BLS certifications.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• At least 6 months of relevant inpatient caregiver experience or nursing student (preferred completion of a Medical Surgical rotation).
• CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA American Heart Association.
• CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - ARC American Red Cross.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine bedside nursing activities and basic patient care tasks.
• Records accurate patient information, interventions and responses in the medical record.
• Performs discharge function under direct supervision of the Registered Nurse.
• Uses sterile technique and assists with procedures and wound care.
