Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Hospital is seeking an Assistant Nurse Manager for the Emergency Department. You will lead day-to-day nursing operations, ensure evidence-based patient care, and drive staff development across shifts.

This role reports to the ED Nurse Manager and emphasizes regulatory compliance, safety, and excellent service delivery. The position requires BSN, California RN license, and leadership experience in an ED setting, with ACLS/PALS/BLS credentials.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in nursing.
• Minimum of three years of clinical nursing experience in Emergency Services.
• Minimum one year of leadership experience.
• Current California Nursing license.
• BLS, PALS, ACLS certifications.
• Workplace Violence Prevention training within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates positive interpersonal relationships to promote teamwork and high quality patient care.
• Participates in hospital committees and unit staff meetings; distributes minutes.
• Implements Quality and Performance Improvement plans; reports findings to leadership.
• Models leadership; promotes professionalism and staff development.
• Facilitates patient progress; coordinates resources and patient plan of care.
• Assists with staffing and scheduling to meet regulatory requirements.
• Monitors staff activity; provides feedback and conducts rounds.
• Ensures compliance with Safety and Emergency procedures; investigates variances.
