Job summary

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Register patients into the ED per Business Office protocols.
• Obtain demographics and insurance information for admissions.
• Collect co-payments and patient payments when applicable.
• Assist nursing staff with transfers and provide clerical support.
• Answer phones, route calls, and back up switchboard as needed.
• Prepare inpatient and swing-bed folders and maintain logs.
• Ensure HIPAA and EMTALA guidelines are upheld in daily tasks.
