Job summary

Veterinary Emergency Group (VEG) in Katy, TX is seeking an Emergency Credentialed Veterinary Technician to join our front-line ER team. You will perform triage, treatments, anesthesia, monitoring, and critical care nursing, collaborating with doctors to deliver gold-standard care for a range of emergencies.

This role requires AVMA-accredited tech training and TX credentialing (CVT/RVT/LVT/LVMT), with at least 1 year in veterinary tech, preferably in emergency medicine.

Qualifications

• CVT/RVT/LVMT credential in TX is required.
• AVMA-accredited degree strongly preferred.
• At least 1+ year as a veterinary technician; emergency experience preferred.
• Basic computer skills and EMR familiarity.
• Ability to stand, lift up to 25 kg, and tolerate a noisy, odorous environment.
• Willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays on a rotating basis.

Responsibilities

• Treat every patient and person with care; provide nursing and emotional support.
• Deliver meds, monitoring, and mastery from IVs to transfusions.
• Triage, treatments, diagnostics, anesthesia, monitoring, and critical care.
• Communicate as a teammate and help shape care plans.
• Perform CPR and use advanced techniques when needed.
• Handle diagnostics, imaging, sample collection and tubes.
• Assist with anesthesia for fragile patients as required.
