Job summary

VEG ER for Pets in Pleasant Hill, CA seeks a per diem Emergency Credentialed Veterinary Technician to join our fast-paced ER team. You will provide high‑quality nursing care, triage, treatments, anesthesia support, and critical care under the supervision of our veterinarians.

Qualifications

• CVT/RVT/LVMT in the state of VEG practice is required
• 1+ year of experience in a veterinary technician role, emergency or specialty medicine preferred
• Knowledge of practice management software and EMR systems
• Ability to stand for prolonged hours and lift up to 25 kg

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care, treatments, and emotional support in critical moments from triage to discharge
• Assist doctors with diagnostic procedures, anesthesia, monitoring, and patient care
• Handle emergency cases, imaging, sample collection, and tubing placement
• Communicate effectively with team to maintain smooth care flow
• Perform CPR and respond to high-stress situations with composure
• Utilize advanced techniques and tools in urgent care settings
• Maintain patient and client support during stressful experiences
