Job summary

Responsibilities

Receive sixteen weeks of on-the-job training from experienced Police Communication Officers.
Process incoming emergency and non-emergency telephone calls from the public and disseminate information via radio to all law-enforcement, medical, and emergency personnel.
Monitor all telecommunications equipment, including state and national computers.
Operate data terminals for NCIC/TLLETS and the university’s computer network.
Monitor and respond to alarms and coordinate with appropriate agencies and personnel.
