Job summary

Georgia World Congress Center Authority is seeking a 911 Communications Officer to manage emergency and security communications within a dynamic convention, sports, entertainment, and hospitality venue.

The role involves dispatching police and security, monitoring CCTV, handling calls, logging activities, and maintaining professional interactions with the public. Applicants must meet basic education requirements and obtain NCIC/GCIC training within 60 days of employment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1 year security experience preferred.
• Must obtain NCIC/GCIC training within 60 days.
• Must possess a valid Georgia Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Dispatch police and security calls promptly and effectively.
• Conduct surveillance of the interior and exterior facility via CCTV.
• Direct and redirect incoming calls.
• Operate dispatch logs, key logs, radio distribution.
• Operate two-way radios, voice pagers, and radio base station equipment.
• Be a point of information to the general public.
• Maintain the public image with customers and public.
