Job summary

This role requires a high school diploma, ability to work under stress, and FBI background checks; 40-hour weeks with day or night shifts are possible.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must pass all pre-employment screenings including a drug screen.
• Able to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing.
• A valid Texas driver’s license may be required within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Answers emergency and non-emergency call requests for police, fire, and medical assistance for Methodist campuses and surrounding agencies.
• Relays information to public safety personnel via radio in a concise, organized manner.
• Uses the CAD system to monitor status and incidents and notifies supervisory personnel as needed.
• Coordinates with other agencies, citizens, and businesses to gather information or dispatch assistance.
• Conducts database searches for wanted persons or property and provides information to officers.
• Completes confirmations and paperwork to notify agencies in a timely manner.
• Supports Methodist Health System culture by assisting colleagues with guidance and training.
• Maintains confidentiality and professional conduct with sensitive information.
• Maintains 24/7 attendance and flexibility to work any shift (day or night).
• Performs other duties as assigned.
