Job summary

citizenship, a High School Diploma or equivalent, DPS certifications on NCIC/TCIC within six months, and a Texas Basic Telecommunications License within one year.

Qualifications

• U.S. citizen, High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Must be able to obtain Department of Public Safety Certification on NCIC/TCIC within six months from hire.
• Must be able to obtain Texas Commission on Law Enforcement Basic Telecommunications License within one year.
• Previous Central Square/Superion/OSSI experience preferred, along with one year of Police, Fire and EMS dispatch experience.
• Bilingual preferred.

Responsibilities

• Receive and dispatch accurate information for Police, Fire, and EMS.
• Handle emergency and non-emergency calls from the public and law enforcement using telephones, radio systems, and CAD.
• Work 12-hour shifts that include weekends and/or holidays; work during emergency management situations.
