Job summary

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, with at least 6 months of related experience preferred. Candidates must type 30 wpm, maintain logs, and obtain NCIC/CJIS and IA system certifications within specified timelines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum six months related experience preferred.
• Must type 30 wpm with accuracy and proficiency.
• Must obtain NCIC/CJIS certification within six months and recertify every two years.
• Must complete CT/IA system certification within six months.
• Residency within 30-minute response time of the center within six months.

Responsibilities

• Operate PBX system, radio, and telephone console to receive and dispatch emergency information.
• Types various forms and reports; maintains logs of calls.
• Maintain knowledge of sheriff's office practices and procedures.
• Work under supervision of the Director of the Consolidated Communications Center.
