Responsibilities

Receive, prioritize, and handle multiple emergency and administrative calls for assistance (e.g., car accidents, medical emergencies, hospital transfers).
Process requests for emergency and non-emergency ambulance service using reference materials and procedures.
Identify caller needs through questioning and classify calls for appropriate response using the dispatch system.
Summarize critical information for first responders with correct grammar and punctuation.
Access and operate computer databases and search websites as needed.
Receive and transmit information by radio and telephone.
Relay information to requesting agencies and collaborate with outside public service agencies.
