Job summary

City of Concord seeks a Communications Dispatcher for the Concord Police Department. You will receive and dispatch emergency and routine calls to protect life and property and ensure the well-being of citizens, answering calls promptly and professionally.

The role requires monitoring officer safety, coordinating with officers and other agencies, maintaining accurate incident records in IMC and SPOTS, and performing reception duties while working a variable shift.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; training in computers is beneficial.
• Public safety or communications experience is desirable.
• Ability to obtain SPOTS Operator Certification.

Responsibilities

• Receives and dispatches emergency and routine calls for the City of Concord Police Department.
• Monitors officer safety, status, and calls; coordinates with officers and other agencies.
• Maintains incident records and updates in IMC and SPOTS; supports reception duties.
